Resilient Community Partnership Program | Resilient Community Partnership Program | Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Delaware Coastal Programs (DCP) |

Improving the management and wise use of land and water resources while promoting compatible
economic development of the coastal zone is a key goal of the Delaware Coastal Programs (DCP) of the
DNREC Division of Climate, Coastal & Energy. The Resilient Community Partnership program provides
technical assistance to reduce the impacts of coastal hazards related to flooding, sea level rise, coastal
storms and climate change. To facilitate this process the DCP is engaging the support of University of
Delaware Institute for Public Administration (IPA) to assist the selected community in developing
enforceable mechanisms or policies to promote resiliency.

The DCP is soliciting Requests of Interest (ROI) from county and municipal government entities within the
State of Delaware to enter into a Resilient Community Partnership to advance the implementation of
equitable resiliency strategies. The DCP and IPA
will work with the RCP awardee(s) to determine the technical needs of the proposed project and, as
appropriate, retain subject matter experts or other resources to meet project requirements and
deadlines. Applicants are encouraged to communicate with DCP staff to help answer any questions and
ensure all submissions address the specified criteria.

|
Planning, vulnerability assessment, disaster preparedness
|
Grants, technical assistance
|
Up to $75,000 in previous years. Awardees of the 2021 RCP will not receive grants directly, but will receive substantial technical assistance to advance resilient climate implementation.

|
Local governments, counties.
