</p><p>Matthew Garlipp (B.A. '13) is a Presidential Management Fellow, Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Department of Treasury. Prior to this he was an associate consultant for Grant Thornton LLP's public sector advisory services where he worked with a large federal government agency doing
performance measurement and analysis work. Prior to his employment with Grant
Thornton, Matthew earned his Master of Public Administration (MPA)
degree from American University in Washington, D.C. <br></p><p>Matthew was motivated to dive deeper
into public policy after participating in UD's winter
intern/study program in Washington, D.C., led by SPPA instructor, Ed
Freel. After this experience, Matthew decided to pursue a B.A. in Public Policy
in addition to his B.A. in International Relations. He also gained
valuable experience as an undergraduate research assistant at SPPA's
Institute for Public Administration (IPA). One of his primary projects was
a report, requested by the State of Delaware, on funding and
governance strategies for new public libraries in the state. Â </p><p>Matthew's involvement with SPPA
played an integral role in where he is today, and he urges all students to take
advantage of the valuable experiential learning programs that SPPA offers.</p><p>Matthew currently resides in
