We have a whole bunch of new staff members at the <a href="https://www.bidenschool.udel.edu/ipa">Institute for Public Administration</a> (IPA)​ that we can't wait for you to meet.​ Today we are highlighting <a href="https://www.bidenschool.udel.edu/ipa/people/smilord">Sophonie Milord​</a>, Part-Time Communications Specialist and one of IPA's newest team members who joined us back in September 2022. <div>​<br><div>She supports IPA's communication needs through website management, social media, email campaigns, and more.<br></div><div><div>​<br><h3>What is working at IPA like? </h3><p>As one of the newest additions to the Institute for Public Administration, I can honestly say that it has truly been a pleasure working here thus far. Since day one, I have always felt fully supported, respected, and appreciated for my work. The overall staff has always been pleasant to me, and very receptive to my ideas as well. As someone who has unfortunately experienced some negativity at prior organizations, IPA has truly been a breath of fresh air for me as a professional.</p><h3>Describe IPA in 3 words. </h3><p>Welcoming, resourceful, and collaborative.</p><h3>What hashtags describe your personality best? </h3><p>#Multi-TalentedCreative #CoolCalmAndCollected #Ambitious #MentalHealthAdvocate </p><h3>Where is your happy place? </h3><p>Being in a creative or professional space that allows me to express myself without too many limitations to my authenticity.</p><h3>What is something people don’t know about you? </h3><p>I am truly passionate about the arts and multimedia. However, a fun fact is that I studied Psychology in undergrad and became a World History teacher in New Orleans upon graduating from college. I have had a very unique career path since entering the real world.</p><h3>What has been your favorite project at IPA? </h3><p>My favorite project was the student workshop presentation on resumes that I led on March 7th, 2023. It was truly a rewarding experience to instruct again but on a higher level. Also, the students were very engaged and inquisitive throughout the presentation.
