the Soviet Union that became an independent state in 1991. She graduated
with a Master Degree in Germanic Languages from Minsk State Linguistic
University in 1999. For several years after that she worked as a teacher
of English and as a translator for the Independent Institute of
Socio-Economic and Political Studies (IISEPS). Translating the
analytical materials written by the IISEPS experts she realized that she
wanted to actively participate in public opinion research in her
country, and not just translate what others had done. She decided to
broaden her horizons and receive education in a new field, namely in the
field of Public Policy. As it was impossible for her to get this type
of education at home due to political and other reasons, she chose to
become a student at the University of Delaware, whose School of Public
Policy is one of the best in this country. In 2013 she became a Master
student at SPPA, and graduated with a Master Degree in Public Policy in
May, 2015. The same year she was admitted to the PhD program at SPPA,
and started her doctoral program in the Fall of 2015. Through her years
at UD Yuliya worked as a research assistant for the Delaware Education
Research & Development Center and for the Center for Applied
Demography and Survey Research. She hopes to use her knowledge and
skills that she is going to acquire as a doctoral student, in the fields
of research and teaching at the Universities in the USA and around the
globe.</p> | https://www.bidenschool.udel.edu/Images Profile Alumnus/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=67 | |
