Practical Experience
BodyText4
One of the hallmarks of your education in the Biden School is our emphasis on experiential learning—we
weave opportunities to get hands-on, real-world experience into the
fabric of our graduate programs. We believe that our students need to be
equipped with first-hand, practical knowledge of how theories work in
actual organizations to be successful once they graduate. This
is achieved in a variety of ways, including through our graduate research assistantships in research and public service centers.
We also emphasize the importance of internships
and help guide our students through the process of securing meaningful, valuable internship
opportunities at various government offices at the local, state, and federal levels,
nonprofits and NGOs, and sometimes in international organizations.
Our
faculty and staff have a large network of professional connections, and
we leverage that network to help our students get the real-world experience needed
to build their professional skills. We are also often able to help graduates secure interviews at organizations where we have connections and contacts.
