4+1 Application Process
Applications for next year's enrollment in 4+1 programs are due on November 1. You must apply in the fall of your junior undergraduate year in order to complete the program on time.
Required Application Materials
Application materials include:
- A completed University of Delaware graduate application. Begin your online application here. You should select spring of the upcoming year (your junior year) as the application term.
- Three letters of recommendation (at least one from a faculty member in the student's undergraduate program).
A current resume.
A comprehensive UD unofficial undergraduate transcript.
A statement of personal interests and objectives.
SPPA Supplementary Information Form.
- GRE scores.*
*Applicants must take the GRE by December of their junior year. The
GRE requirement may be waived by the appropriate graduate program
director for those with a GPA of 3.5 and above.
During the spring semester of the junior year and throughout the senior
year, admitted students will enroll in selected graduate courses. Courses will be selected in conjunction with the 4+1 program advisor. Students are required to attain a grade of B- or better in all course work and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
