During her time at DSCYF, she advocated and helped pass legislation expanding the number of families eligible to adopt a child, enabled additional trauma-informed practices for law enforcement and schools, and created Delaware's tuition waiver program for youth aging out of foster care.</span><span><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2;background-color:#ffffff;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><br></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2;background-color:#ffffff;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:arial;color:#222222;background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">Meredith previously worked in the General Assembly as a legislative aide and then a policy analyst for the House Majority Caucus. She has more than 10 years of experience working alongside policy makers in fields of education, child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental and behavioral health services.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2;background-color:#ffffff;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><br></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2;background-color:#ffffff;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:arial;color:#222222;background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">Meredith earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Delaware.
