Happy #MeetUsMonday! Today we are highlighting Valdese West, Assistant Policy Scientist at the Institute for Public Administration (IPA). Val is best known for her incredible work in the Conflict Resolution Program (CRP) where she contributes to the success of the team by leading workshops centered on conflict resolution, mediation, and difficult conversations as well.
What is working at IPA like?
It’s like having the greatest people you know under one roof working on mind blowing projects. At any given moment you can experience a shift from being coworkers to a family, supporting and inspiring each other.

What is something people don’t know about you?
I was a bride in a Tom Thumb wedding when I was 10 years old, it was a full wedding ceremony and reception with all the bells and whistles. I think I’m technically still married to that guy LOL
What has been your favorite project at IPA?
I enjoy working with the local government heroes in the Delaware Municipal Clerks Institute, learning about each person’s path and aspirations is nothing short of inspiring.
