The Biden School of Public Policy & Administration at the University of Delaware invites applications for one doctoral research assistant to support the Sustainable Mobility and Accessibility Regional Transportation Equity Research (SMARTER) Center. About the Center:

The SMARTER center is composed of scholars from multiple universities within the mid-Atlantic region, led by Morgan State University, with funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation. At UD, the center includes faculty and students from the College of Engineering and the Biden School of Public Policy & Administration.
Candidate Profile:

Applicants should have a master's degree in public administration, public policy, planning, geography, sociology, environmental science or management, or related public service-oriented disciplines. Ideal candidates will employ a mix of research skills and methods, with qualitative research and geographic information systems coursework or experience preferred.

The selected assistant is expected to work half-time throughout the year while attending their doctoral program full-time. This research assistantship comes with a 9-month stipend plus tuition benefits for students in a Biden School doctoral program, including the possibility for a summer stipend, paid through the Center and the Biden School. The student would be eligible to receive professional development support for attending workshops or conferences relating to the research during the grant period. Biden School doctoral students receive guaranteed funding for five years.
