Abdul Dawodu
Researchers and analyzes impact of policies on the City of Wilmington as an Urban Policy Fellow, such as the Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance, Residency Requirements Trends, Marijuana Dispensary Externalities in Urban Cities, and Homeless Encampment Resolution Strategies. Most recently, Abdul has investigated Land Banks and Redevelopment Authorities.
Michael Donahue
Focuses on evaluating the efficacy of 'tiny home' shelter services in Sussex County as a means to explore more compassionate and contemporary approaches to enhance the life quality of Delaware's homeless population. Employing predominantly qualitative research methods, Michael's work centers around the Georgetown shelter, Springboard. In addition, he incorporates analysis of public records and leverages data from local non-profit organizations to comprehensively assess and understand the qualitative trends pertaining to the homelessness crisis in Sussex Count.
Izzy Ellingsworth
Mainly focused in our Wilmington office, Izzy assists in the planning and preparation of professional certification programs hosted by the Center. This requires her to research potential speakers, topics, and locations to host the events. Specifically, Izzy has supported planning for the Community Development Institute (CDI).
Anaya Harrison
Drafts monthly newsletters to Wilmington City Council members as an Urban Policy Fellow, individualized according to their role in the strategic plan. Anaya also supports the research requests of council members to help inform them before they embark on a new resolution/ordinance. Relevant issues include homelessness, prevalence offood distributors, and emergency managment. She was named to the Electric Vehicle Working Group for the city that has been tasked to formulate recommendations to the council for an EV ordinance that would regulate charging in city limits.
Liz Latham
Works towards community development in Wilmington. Specifically, Liz helps facilitate events and workships that educate and aid nonprofits all across Delaware. Her work raises the quality of wellbeing for the state's citizens, through development of the organizations that serve citizens best.
Bradley Moore
Continuing his time as an Urban Policy Fellow for the Wilmington City Council. Bradley assists the Council Legislative Analyst with research, drafting memos and resolutions, attending council meetings and preparing for upcoming presentations, and tracking legislation for Council use.
Madeline Morris
Supports the Policy and Planning Team at the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA). Madeline works on projects addressing homelessness statewide, for example the revamp of the Family Re-entry Program; conducts research on legislative priorities for the upcoming session of the Delaware General Assembly
Natashia Senade
Supports project design and will help carry out efforts to administer a survey to improve the count of unaccompanied youth in Delaware, specifically those who identify as LGBTQ+. Natashia is continually diving into background information regarding Delaware's homelessness system, the McKinney Vento Act, and the Point in Time (PIT) Count.
