Kelly Sherretz, pictured here with her daughter Izzy,  is passionate about improving access to high-quality education and mentoring students. 

Did you know that IPAs staff members are just as varied and interesting as our many areas of expertise? On #MeetUsMondays, well feature a different member of our team each week in the hopes that you can get to know us better. 

Lets meet Kelly Sherretz. We asked Kelly five questions, read on for her responses:

Who are you? 

Beyond being the Education Services Manager for IPA, I am a mom to Izzy and Maddie and wife to Mike. I also love to read, run, and hang out with my family and friends.

What are you working on? 

I am currently working on preparation for College Application Month 2020 and supporting the Redding Consortium for Educational Equity.

Where are you working? 

I am writing this from my sunroom. With everyone being home, my normal home office has been invaded by kids so we converted the sunroom into my alternate home office for the time being. Right now, one of my newer office mates is working on her schoolwork by my side (and my dog at my feet). 

Why do you do this work?  

I do this work for Delaware's K12 students and the students I work with at IPA. It is my hope that the work we engage in helps make a difference by informing policy and decisions using data. I have always had a passion for working with students.

When Im not working, Im: 

Taking walks with my dog and family, relaxing, acting as a 3rd- and 5th-grade teacher, hanging out with friends and family via Zoom.
