Cimone Philpotts (MPA '13), an Urban Affairs and Public Policy doctoral
candidate in the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and
Administration, was nominated by Governor John Carney to fill a vacant
position on the Delaware State Board of Elections representing the City of
Wilmington on Wednesday, March 6th, 2019.
Subsequently, Ms. Philpotts received a unanimous vote at her Senate
confirmation hearing. Philpotts currently works as a public administration
fellow with the Institute for Public Administration and teaches
Public Policy Analysis in the Biden School.
Ms. Philpotts previously served in the prestigious Legislative Fellows Program, received the Delaware Association for Public Administration 2017 Outstanding
Student Public Service Award, and was selected to participate in the very
competitive American Society for Public Administrations Founders Fellows program.
