Lucretia Taylor-McDonald, PhD, grew up in foster care system and is now
the Associate Director of Teen Services at A Place Called Home, where
caring staff, supporters and volunteers come together to provide South
Central children and teens 8 years old 21 years old with love, safety,
enrichment, training, and opportunities through educational programs,
counseling, and mentorship.
American Graduate Day
is a live, seven-hour multiplatform broadcast that leverages the power
and reach of public media to focus on those organizations and individual
Champions keeping kids on the path to graduation. The broadcast and
online event features a mix of national and local segments from across
the country that showcase how community organizations and individual
Champions provide support, advice, and intervention services to at-risk
students, families, and schools.
