My current work focuses on the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on the use of mainstream and alternative financial providers; understanding how policy changes in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly the food stamp program, affect caseloads; and, examining how child savings programs affects investments in children. I am currently a non-resident Research Fellow at the Center for Financial Security at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.<br></p><p>My research has been published in the <em>National Tax Journal</em>, the <em>Southern Economic Journal</em>, the <em>Journal of Consumer Affairs</em>, the <em>Social Service Review</em>, and the <em>American Journal of Agricultural Economics</em>.
