"Engaging Local Government Leaders" Celebrates Influencers in Local Government

Alumna Ann Marie Townshend (MPA 96) was honored with the Traeger Award from ELGLEngaging Local Government Leaders. Named for the fictional character Chris Traeger on Park and Recreation, the Traeger Award recognizes the top influencers in local government. According to ELGL's website, the award is based on an individuals influence in their community and outside their community through professional associations, mentoring, and writing.
Ann Marie is the City Manager for the City of Lewes, Delaware, and an officer in the City Management Association of Delaware. Ann Marie leads workshops in IPAs Local Government Training Program and shes also an adviser to UDs ICMA Student Chapter.
Eric Norenberg, former City Manager of Milford, Delaware, also received the Traeger award in 2019. ELGL recognized 100 Traeger Award recipients each year. To learn more, visit ELGL's website.
