All members of the Biden School community are invited to come together in support of #GivingTuesday 2021. Give directly to the program or cause you care about the most from the list of Biden School projects below. Your gift of any amount makes a difference!
You can review and support the following Biden School projects on HenFunder, UD’s crowdfunding platform:
Biden Institute: Summer of Service Internship Program—The Biden Institute's Summer of Service program provides students with experiential learning opportunities and leadership skills with companies and organizations nationwide. These paid, virtual or in-person career-focused, eight-10 week internships will provide students with hands-on experience in public policy, communications and advocacy with non-profit organizations and government agencies.
International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM)—IAEM@UD is a professional organization housed in the Disaster Research Center which undertakes educational and service-oriented activities. Funds raised through Giving Tuesday will help IAEM support student development through programming, including field trips and speaker series, and assisting students with fees associated with attending conferences.
Jerome Lewis Director's Fund in the Institute for Public Administration (IPA)—Your gift will continue the mission of the University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration (IPA) by supporting career development opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students; research, training and technical assistance programs for state and local governments; and forums for public, private and nonprofit sector stakeholders to consider and envision the future for communities in Delaware and beyond.
Public Allies Delaware: Anti-Racism Public Education Project—Public Allies is the Biden School's AmeriCorps program dedicated to a just and equitable society that includes all of us. This year, Allies will facilitate public conversations about racism and how to be antiracist online, at community events and within nonprofit organizations. Your funding will provide the opportunity for resources to be distributed during these exchanges.
UD ICMA Student Chapter Career Trek and Networking Event—The chapter's mission is to educate students about career opportunities in local government, network with local professionals in the field and engage students on local government projects. Your donation will support a "career trek" to a Delaware municipality for members to informally meet with Delaware city/town managers to learn about career possibilities in local government, pathways to become a manager and how to prepare for leadership roles.
Thank you for your support of Biden School Blue Hens on this important day of giving! Your generosity also advances Delaware First: The Campaign for the University of Delaware, which fuels growth, innovation and discovery at UD and beyond.
