University of Delawares GIS Day 2019 was held November 13, 2019.  This is an annual event designed to showcase the use of geographic information system (GIS) software applied in research by University of Delaware faculty, staff and students.  This year, three research assistants from the Center for Community Research & Service presented posters summarizing investigations produced during their undergraduate public policy fellow and graduate assistant research.  Topics included evictions in New Castle County, blood lead exposure in children, and opioid overdose rates.  These posters are now on display in the CCRS Common area, second floor, in Graham Hall.  For more information about GIS day, visit https://sites.udel.edu/gisday/

Alexandra Guterbock, Undergraduate Public Policy Fellow. Alexandra interviewed key stakeholders, attending court sessions, and analyzing data from eviction proceedings as part of her research work into evictions.

Opioid Overdoses and Medicaid:  Mapping the Data (2017)

Cara Clase, CCRS PhD Graduate Research Assistant and Nicolas Al Fahel, PhD Student in Energy and Environmental Policy. Caras research work is part of a multi-state project to analyze opioid metrics within Delaware and compare policy and opioid metrics among eleven states participating in the project.
