The Biden School's Center for Community Research and Service (CCRS) has recently received two grants for projects in the Medicaid Research Group. Both grants involve working in partnership with Christiana Care Health System (CCHS).
The first grant, an ACCEL Orbit Award, supports the enhancement of the Medicaid data analysis infrastructure to reduce barriers to researchers interested in working with the Medicaid data. Erin Knight, Mary Joan McDuffie, and Katie Gifford of CCRS will work in partnership with Mia Papas and Dominique Comer Medaglio of CCHS on this project.
The second is an INBRE grant (Award # P20GM103446) to support research into identifying Medicaid clients in Delaware who are homeless or experiencing housing instability, and to investigate the healthcare utilization of these vulnerable clients. Along with Steve Metraux, Katie Gifford and Mary Joan McDuffie of CCRS, Navin Vij, M.D., of CCHS will be involved in this project.
Both ACCEL and Delaware INBRE are funded through NIH Institutional Development Awards.
